I won’t lie, as a child I loved Disney princesses and, even now, with all that knowledge of social constraints and gender expectations and inequality and blah blah blah shoved in my head, I still love them.

Belle (while not my favourite) showed me how I wasn’t the only one to love books the way I did and that it was not as bad as some others said it might be.
